Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is the one who initiated research in modern science on children's memory of eyewitnesses and using child victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also been recognized with many international and national awards. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions throughout the world in research and policies relating to children who have been victims of the justice system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center that was formerly known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions including Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
